Start Doing

How many times have you told yourself you’ll start your fitness journey on Monday? Or hesitated to push play on a workout because you weren’t feeling “ready”?
If you have been hesitating on your fitness whether you’re looking to completely uplevel your current routine or trying to take that terrifying first step as a beginner the block isn’t physical. It’s mental.
Real transformation doesn’t happen when you finally feel completely fearless; it happens when you decide to act despite the doubt.
Step 1: Shift Your Mindset

The first step to breaking out of hesitation is a deliberate mindset shift:
- From: “I’m not sure if I can do this.”
- To: “Yes, I can.”
To back up that mindset shift, you need a structured environment that takes the guesswork out of your daily movement. This is where leaning into structured programs like BODi changes the game. Instead of wandering around the gym or staring at a blank screen wondering what to do, BODi gives you world-class trainers, proven nutrition frameworks, and step-by-step workout schedules right at your fingertips.
Step 2: Set Your Minimums and Protect Your Time
Ambiguity kills consistency. If your goal is just to “work out more,” you likely won’t work out at all.
- Set your minimum days: Decide in advance how many days a week you are committing to showing up. Whether you plug in a quick BODi session or a full-length routine, lock in that minimum. It’s completely okay to exceed it, but your minimum is your sacred baseline.
- Set your time: Treat your workout block like an unmissable appointment with yourself.
Step 3: Start Slow and Evaluate

Perfectionism tells us we have to go hard on day one or not at all. Drop that expectation immediately.
Begin at a sustainable pace. Use a versatile program such as BODi’s 10-Minute Focus when time is tight to build the habit muscle without burning out. Evaluate every 3 to 5 days. If it feels too easy, dial up the intensity. If it feels overwhelming, scale it back. The secret isn’t intensity on day one; it’s the refusal to stop.
Step 4: Stop the Comparison Game

Repeat after me: You are the only person you need to compete with. When you scroll through social media, it’s easy to fall into the trap of comparing your Day 1 to someone else’s Day 1,000. Stop it. Give your best effort with what you have, right where you are.
Applaud yourself for every single micro-improvement along your BODi journey:
- One extra rep
- One deeper squat or lunge
- Pushing through one more push-up or pull-up
- Simply showing up on a day when you wanted to stay on the couch
Every time you acknowledge your own progress, you reinforce the power of refusing to let doubt win.
It’s Time to Win Your Game
Fitness isn’t about looking like someone else; it’s about proving to yourself what you’re capable of achieving. Okay, go ahead and do what you need to do today. Lace up your shoes, press play, and let’s get to work.
I am standing right here screaming “GO!”
