I am asking this question because in my workout program and the members of the team I have heard this many times and raising my hand high (I really should raise both but…). This program is too hard. I can’t.
EVALUATE too hard. I recalled once when I would stop doing a workout program as most of my streaming are sequenced for people to obtain the best results also not to over fatigued a muscle to injury. I’d switch to another week or go to another program. It was a bit difficult, and the discomfort was to me at that time overwhelming. And it was. It wasn’t until later after reading an inspiring book and evaluating my discomfort I was the problem.
It wasn’t discomfort but I’d become so comfortable in giving the minimum in my workouts and complacent in what I was fairly good at that I’d failed myself. Failed not because I wasn’t working out, I was definitely doing that. I wasn’t giving my 100 nor was I challenging myself.
I had to do some self-talk and as I begin to get uncomfortable (challenging myself) I was a bit pissed off. Yep, how many other things in my life besides workout that I’d assigned discomfort or uncomfortable to because I was so complacent I couldn’t see it was me.
So today I ask is it discomfort/uncomfortable or is it complacent. Evaluate yourself to determine if you just maybe limiting your growth in fitness and other ares of your life.
Now go award yourself on the change
