Your Workout Meter

Of course you have a meter. It fluctuates maybe a few days seems the same but, well no they are not.

This was astonishing to me a few months ago. Hold on let me explain. You know there are days in our workouts at the beginning we are so pumped, ready to go at it. Pre workout has kicked in to give us that extra push and then it happens. You thought the last time you did chest press wasn’t your best and today you was going heavier, or maybe it was the squats, then it could be barre you were leveling up on those leg extensions or just dance you were going to extend your time a few minutes longer before the break and how about boxing a few more hooks and upper cuts yeah. But today didn’t fair out like that. What the hell is happening.

That damn meter switched and now you feel you should just stop for today and resume tomorrow or the next day. Eerk, nope. If you don’t have a fever or feel sick I encourage you to just do it. If that meter is saying 70% instead of 100 well…. So what, give that workout your best 70% and you’ve won the day.

I do encourage you however to maybe evaluate the meter drop. There could be numerous reasons; I’ll suggest a few .

  1. Lack of sleep
  2. Nutrition – maybe you took in too little the day before or too much
  3. Hydration
  4. A beer too many or that extra glass of wine or the night out with the guys or girls
  5. Stress- if it learn to breathing exercises there are apps to assist
  6. An underlined illness
  7. Fatigue -your body just may need a less intense workout.

Whatever it is, correct it and continue on with your day for the next workout will be waiting.

If by any reason you feel you just need a switch you’re invited to join me. I stream and have choices as mentioned my meter too drops. But the choices are great and currently there is a BOGO going on. Click on the link if you feel streaming is for you.
