Transforming Your Health: Balance, Change, and Acceptance

I was in conversation with a few colleagues and we, for a few minutes (just a few because I departed the group and the conversation). The discussion was about the fitness world. To begin with I am in love with my fitness journey. I’ve grown in knowledge about my body and what I like and how certain workouts are for me, a few okay and a few just need to be eliminated. I’ve learned a nutrition balance versus a diet works for me and a mindset to focus on the entire picture.

Okay to be surprise people believe that a lot of individuals on a fitness journey are wasting time and that a lot of fit people were just born with the genes. Pump the brakes (not stop), just pump. There are people with fit bodies and have had it all their lives with little or no help. I really applaud them, I did verbalize that in our conversation, but by no means to I choose to be like them. I don’t know their story nor do I know their health issues. I can say as I’ve met a few trainers and fit instructors and many on their fitness journey speak about their challenges. Those challenges for many have been struggles and not easy. Attacking the challenges with the ULTIMATE desire to win and move up to the next level is a mindset and action.

The truth is EITHER YOU WANT THE CHANGE OR NOT. There is no need to attack those because they are fit, have a healthy routine and changes are being noticed in their body. Note healthy routine. (I’ve shared my eating disorder and how I appeared to be fit and healthy but I was a walking, breathing disaster). Don’t assume but you can ask questions on their journey make a decision if you can use at minimum one thing shared about someone else journey. Yes, our journey maybe to be fit and healthy but the route we choose maybe different. I once shared and will reiterate, “Don’t COMPARE”, “Enjoy your fitness routine”, “Give Your Best” (if your best is a 40 give 100 percent of that 40 for that days workout), “Pivot” (sometimes we have to add additional workout or change), “The scale is only a number, yes it matters but (there are other factors, inches, sleeping better, improved nutrition, mindset, energy, clothes fitting losers, facial features smaller, skin glowing, and a few more).

With all said believe in you and accept you as you are right now and noticed the change, don’t wait on others to complement you, they will in time. PLEASE don’t look for quick fad especially if you’re not going to commit to the full course. I’m going to be honest there a few fad diets that really work but still it is short time a a lifestyle change should in process with the quick fad. The truth again is you, where you at and what are your intentions of actions.
