There are days I’m not sure if I want to workout or when/ Now don’t misinterpret I hate working out because I love it, enjoy it; however there are days I just feel a bit lazy for awhile.
When this happens I can only justify for a few minutes because there really isn’t an excuse. With my streaming programs, the community that is involved I can do a workout in 10-45 minutes if I just want a change for the day because each workout has a calendar. Okay I will go onto social media and see the inspiring comments from my previous workouts or view someone else on their workouts or just log onto wp and see inspiring posts from those I follow or and follow me. Fire is higher when I listen to one of my many pod casts and then I am lit, on fire and ready to prepare for a great workout more so a great workout. Sometimes we just need a little push.
That sounds so conflicting stop and start, but yes Please.
I say this for the females that don’t support each other on a fitness journey. I’ve recently read negative post on an individual I follow and I was blown away. Have I ever received negative posts for certain and I either respond positively (which is not always easy) or say nothing. This individual is sharing her journey and making changes and all so many can see is her current flaws and focus on that. REALLY, it’s about her, me and all the females on a fitness journey. It’s not easy but I will ask this – What Are You Doing? Is Your Life So Perfect? Do You Want or See ANY Change For Your Growth? What Journey DO You Need to Start (its okay that you’ve bashed someone else because me an so many others will be there to support you) WHY, because we love to empower those moving on in a positive direction making positive changes.
Today, if you are one that is bashing just STOP and START empowering. I’m done. To weeks of FEMALES EMPOWERING EACH OTHER.
The title seems as if I’ve repeated myself and I have. In a recent share on IG and FB ( I post daily motivation quotes and how I interpret to apply for life).
Individualizing yourself. This is one that I had to reflect on as I created the quote. It is so easy to mimic the life of others. We take the advice of others but then I notice people try to emulate that person 100 percent n then just stop their growth because they see themselves as a failure. This is not so. Why?, What?
It is great to take the advice of others especially if it’s positive and can assist on whatever journey you’re currently traveling. I use travel because a journey toward any goal is like a road trip. The terrain changes. Okay back to YOU. Taking the advice does not mean to try to emulate their life. You nor I do not know what their entire journey has been and nor do we know ALL the solutions. We do know what is being shared but in applying all the good advice and inspiration, don’t forget you.
Forgetting YOURSELF will make the journey tougher, longer and you will loose your identity. As we ( you and I) continue on our journey let’s remember learn from others and apply within OUR life but to be honest and true to ourselves. I’ll be me and YOU be YOU.

I can only think as I share my journey with many of all ages and hear these sayings. “WHAT”. Okay a list and I’m not sure if these are to deter me, mock me or if people believe it.
1. Is this workout appropriate for your age? Is there an age limit to workouts, if you can do it well do it.
2. What’s your reason, I don’t understand. My workout reason is that I enjoy it, the way I feel in so many ways and YOU don’t need to understand my why for my fitness, however if you’d like to join me to experience the joy, fun and change I am, well come on over Let’s Do This.
3. Are you afraid of injury, I thought you had RA. Yes, I do have RA and if I’m not flaring I’m good and if I am I just adjust the move, weight or whatever is necessary for me to complete the workout. Yes, I’m afraid, afraid I will become lazy, unhealthy and let others decide MY designation in MY fitness journey.
4. I was told that after a certain age blah blah blah. Really and no one ever told you to encourage others, or not to place limitations on your self, maybe someone said your age should not define your capability or stop your growth in every possible area of your life and that does include fitness.
I encourage ANYONE that wants to begin a fitness regimen PLEASE do so. You are denying yourself if you listen to the whispers that say no, you can’t, or don’t.
It’s time to drown out the whispers and become You for YOU. Do IT
On the journey to fitness there are so many components but one I almost forgot until I went out late in the evening and looked up. I should say late at night and looked up, then I remembered.
What did I remember? Well it was so relaxing, quiet every now and then a vehicle but all in all so relaxing and my mind relaxed. What you ask?, the pleasure, appreciation of quiet moments with nature. The sky with the stars and the moon it was just a connection. I do yoga but not consistently, I am quiet especially when I’m praying The Rosary. But this is so different, have I ever did this type of meditation? yes. Yes, I have but it has been such a long time and again the connection to the universe, my prayers to God, my appreciation of life had a new feeling and meaning. At this time I’m not certain what days and how many days a week, but this will become a routine. I miss this connection just didn’t realize because I forgot.

It is about the commitment and how so important. I was so committed today because I so wanted to just STOP my workout today. Stop just for today not permanently.
It’s a norm for me on rising after expelling by night build up to cleanup-up if necessary after my canines they are my fur babies and the felines. Not certain of the rush but sometimes they miss the pad so I have to mop with the pick up and exchange. I have one cat with wobbly legs so sometimes she misses the liter box. My AM chores which can take 20 minutes to an hour but today it was so quick I decided to additional clean up. I shouldn’t have. I know clean up is important not downsizing it but t my air condition is off and early AM is not so bad but there is no ventilation surviving on fans and that is not bad, but definitely not my usually cool temp and the ventilation/ circulation I really notice the difference.
Here is what happened, I was swifting (wet jet) and spot drooping Clorox as I went along, not paying attention I tumbled in the process of placing the bottle down and spilled. The fumes were enormous. I just pour water and coughing because this concentrated Clorox was so strong. I increased the speed on the fan, took the canine out because now they were sneezing, moved the felines into a room with a fan, raised the window. Why didn’t I take them out, well I also have outside that has taken up residency in the backyard and my older feline 16 years of black beauty is not so friendly at first and she is declawed so no.
The fumes subsided but not completely gone, what next? I set my workout space and begin Barre Blend workout. Of course today was cardio.
Yes I worked out in warm temp and was sneezing, coughing and snotting through it all. I endured it because I was committed but now hours later I just wondered why I didn’t take my workout to the outside. The fumes are now minimum. I hope I remember this, but my technician is suppose to come repair my air and I will not be using Clorox without extra precaution.
I WAS COMMITTED, although it’s not always this, we just have to make that choice. Just so you’ll know I was poring with sweat post Barre Blend today along with sneezing, coughing and everything that follows a large Clorox spill.
How many times do I ask myself this? Am I the only one, how many times do you ask yourself this question?
For me today I’ve aske m self this a thousand times or so it seems.
1. Am I’m the only one that is working out as much in my age group
2. Am I’m the only that gets frustrated when I can’t get all my workout in, today I planned for 2 but my responsibility list was long.
3. Am I the only one that laundry piled up and it will be late before I can get to it or although there aren’t but a few dishes I will place them in the dishwasher and either wash them on another day or turn the dishwasher on in hopes I don’t runout of glasses because unless its a holiday it’s paper plates.
4. Am I’m the only one that everything is breaking, the lawn mower, the edger, the chain saw (limbs on the tree- I do my own)
5. Am I the only wondering how the heck I can keep my house cool because today my air went out and it will be 2 days before the contractor can come out (thanks for home warranty).
6. Today this list is long and then I had to think.
Really, no you’re not it just sometimes I’m hard on myself and have everything planned and then comes the life curve. I just have to deal with it because I have so much to be thankful for in these times.
Tomorrow as I pray the Rosary I will ask God to continue remind me of all the blessings I have received, those I know of and those I don’t because HE has given strength to survive, handle and still be Me despite life’s curve.

It’s not easy, I previously was doing 2 works and will continue however I’m uncertain which will be my second. I am doing A Barre workout to be specific “Baree Blend” and yes its one of my BOD streaming workouts. If you’re interested in doing a Barre workout send a message in the comment section.
I will continue with Barre however I was combining it with another yes BOD workout 10 ROUNDS, I love it but I’m one that loves to follow the schedule and I am currently unable to. Well only 3 day as week and I was doubling on the weekends to get caught up for the next week. I was drained. I am so good at doing 2 sometimes but not often 3 workouts however I made the choice. I thought on my decision because and only because I like to get benefits on my workouts and not to just through the motion which I feel happened on a few reps this past week end. As much as I love boxing this workout is not the one for with Barre. I want to give this awesome workout full attention so 4 weeks in I put it on the burner and will start new once completed Barre Blend.
Now the purpose is to acknowledge sometimes we have to make CHANGES on our journey, not always easy because if like me we one to keep treading for a win. However if you as I was unable to give your 100 then the tread is a lost. I want to make winning gains on my journey so adjusting was necessary and I’m OKAY WITH THE CHANGE.
Just asking what is your intake on CHANGE for a better outcome? To a week of GREATNESS
It is a MUST especially now,, and I am constantly reminding myself. With all that is going on in the world today and the virus. It is frightening especially if you are a healthcare worker as I and or an individual that is required to appear on the job as scheduled.
I say be aware of what is occurring, use every precaution necessary to protect yourself, but most of all don’t forget your focus. I am reminding myself to stay focus on my fitness journey because the news updates can depress you, me all of us. Let’s not forget we still have to live and that does not mean connecting to the media 24 hours or every awakening hour.
I am one to say how afraid I was, the changes although to protect us all and how quiet it feels even if there are many disregarding alerts as well as precaution. IT CAN BE DEPRESSING.
Again I urge us ALL to stay focus, live the life we are provide daily, apply the precautions (handwashing, washing off equipment in gym, cover your mouth when coughing or sneezing, or when at work wash equipment, if you are seek beyond your know allergies (this is allergy season) contact your PCP). Most of all KEEP THE FOCUS.

Of course we all know nutrition is important, well more so when working out. What so many do not know and I raise my hand or both because I lack the knowledge as well. There are a various types of nutrition and not just unhealthy, healthy and healthier.
There is a nutrition for losing weight, reducing the caloric intake be mindful of the foods you eat. Losing weight also means to make certain you are taking in enough nutrition, if not there can a down side. Yes the scale will show a decrease at first which may be rapidly then the plateau comes along with other health problems. The health problems may come later but not the plateau. If the caloric intake is too low then the body begins to hold onto whatever it can to survive as well as your energy decreases.
To reduce caloric intake make certain you’ve consulted a dietitian, MD or for me Portion fix on BOD. Portion fix breaks down the protein, carbs, fruit and vegetables necessary for a healthy weight loss and it includes about 85% of food we already consume. Now there is another nutrition program I use 2B Mindset, teaches me how to arrange the food on my plate, depending on the time of day, what to eat first, how to enjoy every celebration known. In reducing our intake it is IMPORTANT to get the correct nutrition in for a healthy weight loss. Psst…. I’m still working on my nutrition some days are a bit difficult than others.
Now, If you want to lose weight and pack on the muscles don’t get shocked. Your intake will increase, you will lose the fat but that lean, healthy muscle may not reduce the number on the scale. What does this mean, well you need to decide if. You want tone lean body or if you want tone, lean body with muscles. Either way NUTRITION is key. You can workout for hours but without the right nutrition you just maybe sabotaging your workouts.
