How Do You Know What’s The Best Workout

This is a question I was recently asked ” How do you know what’s the best workout”. Sadly I could not answer the question.  Now don’t get startled before I share my reason.

I believe all workouts are “The Best”, yes I do. Now the concerns are is the workout for you, the intensity – too much or too little.  If it’s weights are you able to use weights and most people are.  Let me pause you can use 3 pound weights until they feel like 1 pound for as long as you like.  You do not have to increase because the trainer or it is recommended.  For certain EVERY trainer wants you to be safe, the gains will come.

Best workouts really depends on the relationship you have with your body and mindset.  You know your limits when you’ve exceeded or have not given your 100.  NOW the biggest challenge  is YOUR COMMITMENT.  If you are NOT committed to follow through with a trainer whether it is at the gym or like me using the trainers on BEACHBODYONDEMAND my favorite at home workout for unlimited positive reasons, your response to the workout may be negative BUT the blame is ???

Follow through means the entire program because response to workouts vary among all of us and for certain 2 days or 1 week may not or only show a small response.  Follow through also means adhering to the nutrition (I still struggle sometimes with nutrition). Follow through means being  aware of the non scale victories-  inches lost, feeling good about yourself, the extra rep or two you can perform, weights increased on a workout, increased positive response to life.

Discover YOUR Best workout begin and or continue because I think you are AWESOME.

The Past, The Present & The Future ME

It’s all about me for now on my fitness journey.

My Past – I have experienced  weight fluctuations, size fluctuations.  I’ve experienced almost every eating disorder known.  I was concerned and didn’t know how to handle when I was disliked by family, friends and yes even foes, I thought I had to appease so many.  I allowed myself to be taken advantage of.  BUT I continued to workout always a fitness junkie but there are eliminations for success in fitness.

You can not be physical engaged in any fitness and expect an outcome to be proud of with an eating disorder which will eventually affect your health.  I was blessed to only experience small bouts of anemia that only required Iron injections.  Appeasing others brings on stress and I was stressed 85% of the time.  Stress hinders a great response to any fitness and I neglected myself a lot.

My Present -& My Future -Today change and implementations is helping me to a proud future. That future begins at 1200 AM everyday.  I workout to be strong, fit, healthy- NOT THIN.   I’ve experienced the thin and the torture I did to my body was and is not an easy recovery.

I love family, friends and have learned to love but cautious of the frienemy, but no longer allow intimidation, words of negativity, nonsupport and abuse (which comes in many ways) have a value. I LOVE MYSELF, Yes . My journey to fitness is for my health, joy and loving all the GREAT aspect of life- THE FUTURE- MY FUTURE.

To GREAT WORKOUTS & GREAT LIFE.

My Reasons for Combining Caridio and Weights

My fitness journey like so many has ups and down but there is one thing I know for certain it is necessary for me to combine my workouts with cardio and weights.

It took me awhile to like  weights, what got me interested?  There are a several reasons :
1. With my history of eating disorder it has assisted (not solely) in increasing my metabolism.
2. Weights has assisted me in giving shape to legs, arms and (in the works) lift that butt and the boobs.
3. I feel stronger also.
Now for the cardio- endurance, fat burning but so are weights, toning and leaning out muscles. By the way it took me a minute to realize with continuous weight training and no cardio, my muscles become define and contracted that it shorten my stretching another reason to combine the both.

All of my reasons for the combination which I am certain I have left out a few, these are my REASONS and may or may not apply to anyone else.

To a week of workouts, choose what works best for you and go get it.

Supporting Others and Neglecting Myself

dance

Hi there I’m uncertain if I have used the correct title on this blog, not at all.  Simply put I am not neglecting myself by all means but I am neglecting my support.

As I travel and it is travel on my fitness journey, I see how so many of my friends, family, coworkers and just sometimes those occasional associates are so unsupported. Nothing positive, join a challenge group with you? What? This is a foreign or forbidden term, give positive support, are you CRAZY ?.  However I get emails to support their goals, or a challenge, listen to voice messages or texts for support. I have responded willingly because YES I do want the best for you however  I DO NOT value your goals GREATER than mine.

This has pressured my conscious thinking for while and I had to realize I have allowed my goals to be devalued.  Yes I will continue my journey with or without your support and I am hoping you can also do the same without mine.

To those on a fitness journey without the support of those so close and near, look ahead, keep up your pace, you are not alone. To a week of achieving  greatness.

My Early AM Workout VSA Later Workout

My workout time varies and I am noticing a different in my energy after specific times.

My early AM workouts after I have completed my duties to the canines and felines of the house as I have recently found out they are the Royalty, me just their servant.  Anyways after and I get my workout on my adrenaline flow is high and I am feeling Great, my focus is higher and I really do accomplish more in less time.

On those days, which are few but they remain, I drag about pondering on things mostly what I can’t change immediately it takes a minute or two to get my mindset into workout mode.  Once my mind is there I have noticed I don’t have the same level of energy after even though I have given my 100 in the workout.  I am really trying to figure this one out as well as make less time on pondering.

To a week of workouts regardless of when.

Hold The Banner High-trust the process- Your Goal Are Closer

I If there is anyone  who knows about “frustration and wanting to give up” on workouts, healthy eating and being on a fitness journey with a positive mindset, it would be ME.

It’s the way it is, looking for fast and immediate change on a fitness journey.  Now the younger you are you will see faster results so in the words of so many trainers “trust the process”, “believe in yourself”, “stay focused” and the one I have to remember and say aloud so many times each week “STOP COMPARING”.

Isn’t it so easy to compare when you see others especially if you are doing a “Beachbodyondemand” workout. You see results that are eye-popping and I scream WOW. Truth is I’m comparing my results to others and should not because there may be factors, no let me just tell it like it is.  There are reasons sometimes my results are slower or maybe it is just not physical.

Guilty as is. I don’t always follow the recommended caloric intake or and food portions.

I sometimes am stressed about somethings I can’t change, but I guess I enjoy the stress for a few days before I realize it’s life grow and go forth. Oh and its sleep sometimes I am sleep deprived because I think I have to accomplish so much in a day which I am better at prioritizing and improving daily, no maybe weekly most times. Oh yeah the age factor, hormones has bounced on the result play, yeah just pitched in without an invite.

Nonetheless if you like me stay focus and trust the process you will see results, in inches, mindset and weight.  Believe in it and believe in you.  We are both stronger than we  exhibit and you probably like me should relinquish this .  To a week of “TRUSTING THE PROCESS”

Fighting the Uh-Huh, I Thought So

Getting my fight on is not physical but mental and well yes it is physical in my mind.  When I accomplish a goal and I remember the many  whispers or spoken out I thought so looking or waiting for a quit or stop.

There are times, of many not just myself but you and so many others experience the why, is this good for you,  no stop while you are ahead, don’t do it, or I wouldn’t be able to do it, or the giant. Uh-huh I thought so, which comes after you stop towards a goal or slow down to revise a goal due to a hiccup so you can achieve your goal.

On my fitness journey I have heard so many positive encouragements, but every now and then those negatives will stand out when we hit a plateau or need to revise our daily lives.  I know ignore the negatives and trust me they shout out loud but believe they are fewer than we think it’s just the noise. The noise makes my fight stronger, toward my goals.

This is my fitness and health journey, yes this time is about, who, huh, yep IT’S ABOUT ME.  If I slow down, don’t cheer me on with “I thought so”, I ‘m about to shut you up because I am revising a stronger plan to follow. Please back up, I don’t want your consolation, I’m not out of gas, I am refueling with a larger tank. That’s okay you did not see it because  again It’s about me.

Long pause,  join me in mind thought, progression, goal setting and achievements, let’s turn the side line of Uh huh I thought so, to YEAH YOU’RE A CHAMPION I KNEW IT.   Maybe they too will remember and begin a new positive goal in their life.
