TRUE, TRUE TRUE, I enjoy working out, I am one that believe it is not an age limit. I know there are individuals of all ages that have limits of mobility, aches and pain. The body immune system does not attack according to age.
I have been blessed to meet individuals of all ages, sizes and definitely ailments. The one thing I encourage them all as they may say I wish I could walk, run, or be as active as I was before….., How do you feel about yourself. About yourself, not your physical mirror reflection because sometimes I run from mine and the picture of my last 5K I should keep running.
Okay back to YOURSELF, the inner you, your greatness, the positive mindset you share with others, how you have assisted a friend, your family, your child, neighbor the mean or nice coworker. How many hours of sleep have you forsaken to assist someone, the compliments you give, your smile, your laughter, your hug, your nod was great too. There is so many more words to describe the inner beauty of you just take a moment and look inside. YOU ARE AWESOME and YOU CAN ACCOMPLISH THE CHANGE YOU SEEK.
To the moments you are LOOKING INSIDE and the beauty of it all, Have a GREAT ONE>
This is my promise to me, on loving myself.
I promise to:
1. Workout a minimum of 6 days a week
2. Drink my water daily 1/2 my body weight even though some days it may be late and I will be up most of the night excreting
3. Run or use the treadmill a minimum of 3 days a week 30 minutes or greater
4. Listen daily to at least one no two (I already listen to darrendaily) podcasts to enhance the greatness I have unleashed in me
5. Motivate, encourage people daily
6. Remove myself from all negative conversation
This is my daily, weekly list and I know my canines and felines would like to be included but their demands are HIGH but I will meet them 50/50 since their list change daily.
To a great week, much love and really what promises would you give to yourself and NO NO this is not a late Resolution for the New Year.
Much as I love to workout someday, especially on the days I am giving my workout a 110 or 20 my muscles feel the workout later. The lactic acid in the muscle build up and my muscles cramp, sore and honestly it makes me want to just sit and not move, but that will not happen.
My remedy, I have several but a favorite which is an old-time use. The hot/warm water soak in epsom salt. I know for many this does not work and for as many it does. I raise my hand because for me it works.
Second remedy for is the foam roller, this feels like a deep tissue massage and the results are amazing and the relief is awesome.
Yoga is great now there are certain yoga exercises that stretch and tone and will give you a workout. I focus on just stretching muscles, relaxing and a little meditation assist with relieving the sore, achy muscles.
Getting a massage, deep tissue for me, and the right masseuse /masseur. I have experienced a few I wanted them to pay me for lying there because I felt nothing.
These are my methods of relief, what are yours? I am so open for suggestions.
To a week of workout fulfillment and a healthier you.
Yoga has its many purposes. After a week of kick butt workouts, weights, aerobic, treadmill, elliptical (I mix it up). My muscles are tight usually my quads. I need to stretch.
Beachbody has several yoga workouts that satisfy my muscles. I am not following the said calendar of the program, but I choose the one to stretch the muscle I feel that is tight.
Yoga also tightens ad tone with stretching which will burn calories.
Yes yoga has poses for meditation to clear your mind, allow focus, and promote a positive mindset. How you apply yoga in your lifestyle should be one of personal gains and satisfaction for you. After all it is about “YOU”, just as my yoga is about yep, you guessed it “ME”.
TO A GREAT WORKOUT AND STRETCH-NAMASTE
